When Things Change, We’ve Got You

Finding the right nanny is a big decision.

Families aren’t just looking for someone to fill a schedule. They’re welcoming someone into their home, trusting them with their children, and hoping to build a relationship that lasts.

At Little Sprouts & Co., our goal is always to create stable, long-term nanny placements that feel like the right fit for everyone involved.

But we also know something important:

People are human. Things happen. And sometimes, a nanny placement simply doesn’t work out.

Maybe the nanny decides the position isn’t the right fit. Maybe the family realizes they need something different. Maybe circumstances change that nobody could have predicted.

Whatever the reason, we don’t believe a family should feel like they’re suddenly on their own.

Your Placement Doesn’t End With Us Handing You a Resume

One of the reasons families choose a boutique nanny placement agency is because they want more than a list of candidates.

They want support throughout the process.

That’s why we have replacement terms built into our family agreements. If a placement ends and the family wants to begin a new nanny search, there are protections in place based on how long the nanny was employed.

Our replacement eligibility begins on the nanny’s first day of employment.

Here’s how it works:

Within the first 30 calendar days:
If the placement ends within the first 30 days, the family is entitled to one complimentary replacement search.

Days 31–60:
The family receives a credit equal to 50% of the original placement fee toward a future nanny search with Little Sprouts & Co.

Days 61–90:
The family receives a 25% credit of the original placement fee toward a future nanny search.

Days 91–365:
The family receives a 10% credit of the original placement fee toward a future nanny search.

After 365 days:
The replacement guarantee and placement fee credits no longer apply, and a new nanny search is subject to our then-current placement fee.

All of these timelines are measured in calendar days, including weekends and holidays.

Why We Put This in Place

Because finding a nanny is personal.

We know families investing in a professional nanny placement agency are looking for stability, reliability, trust, and a caregiver who genuinely fits into their household.

That is especially true for families in communities like Atherton, Hillsborough, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, San Francisco, Marin County, Walnut Creek, and throughout the Bay Area, as well as families searching for private childcare in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Calabasas, West Hollywood, Studio City, and throughout Los Angeles.

A nanny search can take time, energy, and emotional investment. When a working relationship unexpectedly ends, the last thing we want a family to feel is that they have to start completely over by themselves.

Our replacement terms give families a clear path forward.

We Still Aim for the Long Haul

Of course, our goal isn't to use these replacement terms.

Our goal is to find the right nanny the first time.

We take the time to understand what each family actually needs — their schedule, household rhythm, parenting style, expectations, personality, and the qualities they want in someone caring for their children.

Because a great nanny placement isn't simply about finding someone who can do the job.

It's about finding someone who fits.

Whether you're looking for a full-time nanny, part-time nanny, long-term nanny, private nanny, ROTA nanny, newborn care specialist, or temporary childcare, we want the placement to feel thoughtful and intentional from the beginning.

And if something changes along the way?

We're still here.

That's what having a nanny agency in your corner should feel like.

At Little Sprouts & Co., we don't expect every placement to be perfect forever. We simply believe that when life throws a curveball, families deserve to have someone in their corner who cares about what happens next.
