About the Family

Little Sprouts & Co. is hiring an experienced career nanny in San Francisco, CA 94121, for a long-term position with a private family offering $104,000–$123,000+ annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

This San Francisco nanny position is ideal for an energetic, nurturing, and highly dependable childcare professional with experience supporting school-aged children, emotional development, and positive behavioral guidance.

The family is seeking a career nanny who enjoys an active household, values long-term relationships, and is comfortable with occasional family travel. Competitive compensation, guaranteed hours, paid time off, and a monthly health stipend are included.

The family has three boys, ages 8, 4.5, and 3 months. This position will primarily focus on the two older boys, as the family has a dedicated nanny caring for their infant.

The boys are bright, playful, curious, and full of energy! They thrive with engaging activities, creative play, outdoor adventures, and a caregiver who can match their enthusiasm while providing patience, consistency, and guidance.

The family is hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys working with active children, can confidently navigate big emotions, and naturally takes initiative throughout the day.

This is a busy, loving household that values open communication, honesty, flexibility, and teamwork. They hope to build a long-term relationship with a nanny who feels like a trusted and valued part of their family.

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM–8:30 PM

  • Saturdays: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

  • Approximately 36.5 regularly scheduled hours per week

  • Additional weekend coverage approximately 2–3 days per month for date nights or extra support

  • Occasional Sunday flexibility

  • Flexibility for travel and overnight care

The family travels throughout the year and would love a nanny who enjoys accompanying them on family trips.

An upcoming Thanksgiving trip to Lake Tahoe is a possibility, although availability for this specific trip is not required.

Additional compensation is offered for travel, overnights, and applicable holiday work, with details to be finalized.

Responsibilities

  • School pickups and transportation to extracurricular activities

  • Planning creative, age-appropriate activities and outings

  • Keeping both boys engaged through interactive play, outdoor adventures, and hands-on learning

  • Supporting after-school transitions and established household routines

  • Helping the children develop emotional regulation, patience, and positive communication skills

  • Providing calm, consistent redirection during challenging moments

  • Supporting the family during dinnertime and encouraging age-appropriate independence

  • Assisting with evening and bedtime routines

  • Light child-related tidying and cleanup

  • Working collaboratively with parents and other household staff

  • Proactively identifying ways to make the family’s daily routines run smoothly

No cooking or meal preparation is required. The household also employs a housekeeper and a separate infant nanny.

A family vehicle can be provided for transporting the children.

The Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for a career nanny who is genuinely passionate about working with energetic, spirited children.

Their ideal nanny is:

  • High-energy and playful: Someone who enjoys staying active, getting creative, and making everyday moments fun.

  • Patient and emotionally aware: Comfortable supporting children through frustration, overstimulation, and big emotions.

  • Experienced with behavioral needs: Familiarity with ADHD, emotional regulation, behavioral strategies, or neurodivergent children is highly valued.

  • Proactive and organized: Someone who naturally anticipates needs, takes initiative, and can multitask.

  • Flexible and adaptable: Comfortable working in a dynamic household with occasional schedule adjustments and travel.

  • Reliable and trustworthy: Consistently dependable, honest, and transparent.

  • A strong communicator: Able to collaborate with parents, provide thoughtful feedback, and maintain consistency with household expectations.

  • Warm and nurturing: Someone who can build meaningful relationships with the children while maintaining appropriate boundaries and structure.

Additional Information About the Children

The oldest child has ADHD and benefits from engaging activities, structure, patience, and thoughtful redirection.

Both older children are currently receiving behavioral support, and the family would appreciate a nanny who understands how to help children navigate emotional regulation, sibling disagreements, and challenging behaviors.

Experience implementing positive behavioral strategies and collaborating with parents or behavioral professionals would be especially valuable.

The family follows consistent morning and bedtime routines while allowing more flexibility throughout the rest of the day. They welcome ideas and feedback from their nanny and value a collaborative approach.
