Infant Care | 24 Guaranteed Hours/Week | $40–$50+/Hour | Long-Term
We are working with a warm and welcoming family in Los Gatos searching for an exceptional nanny to become a long-term part of their family. They are first-time parents to their sweet baby girl, A. They are hoping to find someone who genuinely loves children, brings a calm and kind presence into their home, and is excited to grow alongside their family for many years to come.
This family is looking for much more than someone to simply come in and complete a list of tasks. They hope to build a close, trusting partnership and ultimately welcome someone who feels like an extension of the family.
🗓 THE SCHEDULE
Start Date: ASAP, with flexibility for the right person
* 3 days per week
* 6:30 AM–2:30 PM
* 24 guaranteed hours per week
* Exact weekdays are still being determined
* Approximately 1-2 times per month, one working day may fall on a weekend (advance notice will be provided)
* Occasional flexibility around the regular hours and opportunities for additional non-guaranteed hours
* Potential to transition to a full-time role in 2028 as the family grows
💰 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
* $40–$50+/hour, depending on experience and overall fit
* 24 Guaranteed hours per week
* Gas/mileage reimbursement for driving while on the job
* 5 paid sick days
* 5 PTO days
* Occasional overnight care: $250 overnight bonus
* Occasional travel opportunities (optional)

👶 ABOUT THE ROLE
A is currently an infant, so strong hands-on infant experience is important. Her parents would love someone who is confident supporting her through each developmental stage while bringing warmth, playfulness, and genuine enjoyment to her days.
Responsibilities will include:
* Providing attentive, loving infant care
* Supporting age-appropriate developmental milestones
* Maintaining her routines and schedule
* Bottle feeding expressed breast milk
* Engaging in developmentally appropriate play
* Reading, tummy time, sensory activities, walks, and outings
* Taking her to age-appropriate activities as she gets older
* Driving as needed
* Keeping children’s areas tidy and organized
* Light household support during downtime to help the home run smoothly
* Occasional family errands
* Occasionally taking the family’s dog for a walk
Childcare will always be the primary focus, but the family would love someone who naturally sees where they can lend a hand and enjoys helping a household run smoothly.

* Has approximately 4 or more years of professional childcare experience
* Has strong hands-on infant experience
* Has experience caring for multiple children
* Has demonstrated stability and longevity with previous families
* Is looking for a long-term, part-time position
* Is warm, nurturing, patient, and engaging
* Truly loves working with children
* Can offer occasional schedule flexibility
* Is comfortable with dogs
* Has a reliable personal vehicle and is comfortable driving a child
* Ideally lives within a reasonable commute of Los Gatos
* Is comfortable working collaboratively with first-time parents
* Can offer ideas and guidance when helpful while respecting the parents’ preferences
* Bilingual is a wonderful plus, but not required
